Spiff Six Shot? The word on S6S?

by Tomio on March 2nd, 2010

While I’d love to tell you S6S is here to revolutionize whatever hasn’t already been revolutionized on the web, it’s actually just my personal blog for everything that doesn’t fall under what I do at Vogue Immunity, which is specifically focused on what I collect. While many of the subjects and content may overlap (some of which perhaps purposely so), I wanted to keep VI focused and without clutter.

Where did the name come from?

Well, as my partner at BSC and BSCkids will tell you, we are terrible at naming shit (just ask either of us what ‘BSC’ stands for–we honestly don’t know) so I decided to make it a bit easier by just taking two of illist things ever and combining them, avoiding sleepless nights in the process. So I take Calvin’s alter ego and throw it in front of the name of the most awesome Transformer ever.

For the visual folks:

spaceman spiff

Don’t need any more explanation. Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes= best comic strip ever.

Aerialbots are combiners (for the new non-heads, like the Constructicons) that form into Superion. The cartoon episodes that told the story of their creation was really dope, as the Autobots (who historically had been categorized as “Non Flyers” when compared to their Decepticon counterparts) need to even the odds after Megatron staked a claim to ground dominance when he created the Stunticons (themselves combiners, merging into Menasor). It’s classic shit, and though the Aerialbots were something more than just kinda of soft, they were probably still – excluding Omega Supreme – their go to ass kicker when they formed Superion. Above, you see my boy Sixshot, who I talked about over at Vogue Immunity (see: Sixshot Funky, Joe Mobile) put the beat down on them while living up to his name.

So, from Bodhisattva (my last personal blog) to Spiff Six Shot. S6S to friends. Galvatron and Hobbes chief among them.

uh, no, "he" is definitely a he. well, i mean, i never personally verified that, but he presented himself as a he, didn't shower like he was a he, had facial scruff and backsnatch like he was a he, so i never found reason to question it....

Is she a she and is she hot? I dig the Calvin and Hobbes-fan model type!

I have fond memories of reading the collections. While I read strips when confronted with them, it's the only (along with Farside) strip that I ever bought in a collected format. That is until I buy DC's collected Wednesday comics, which probably doesn't count because it's a series of several strips.

    C&H is just PERFECT.
